Questions about the Cozy Car Bed
What's the difference between single and double seat?
The single seat fits dogs up to 45cm in length and 12.5kg — ideal for smaller breeds like French Bulldogs, Pugs, and Cavapoos. The double seat fits dogs up to 65cm and 22.5kg — better for medium breeds like Cockapoos, Spaniels, and Staffies. If your dog is between sizes, choose the double.
Will it fit my car?
Both sizes fit all cars. If you need 2 beds or you might have a child seat in the car, measure your back seat width before ordering — if you're unsure, email support@kovepaws.com with your car make and model and we'll confirm.
Is the safety leash compatible with any harness?
Yes — the integrated safety leash has a standard clip that attaches to any D-ring harness. We recommend always using it with a harness, not a collar, as collars can cause neck injury during sudden braking.
Can I use it at home as a regular bed?
Yes — and we actively recommend it. Using the Cozy Car Bed at home between journeys helps your dog build a positive association with it. Dogs that sleep in it at home are noticeably calmer when it goes in the car. Place it in the living room and let them claim it as their own first.
Is the cover machine washable?
Yes. The cover zips off completely. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle — no bleach, no fabric softener. Tumble dry on low or air dry flat. The base wipes clean with a damp cloth.
What if my dog doesn't settle in it?
Car anxiety takes time to unlearn. Introduce the bed at home first, then do 3 to 5 short positive journeys before drawing conclusions. You can always email support@kovepaws.com if you need any support with improving your dog's car anxiety.
