Is the foam firm enough for a large or heavy dog?
Yes. The high-density egg-crate foam holds its structure under the weight of large and giant breeds without compressing flat. The contoured surface spreads weight across a wider area, which matters more for heavier dogs precisely because they put more concentrated pressure on flat foam.
What comes in the box?
The sofa with its egg-crate foam base, the removable plush cover already fitted, and the plush pillow. Nothing to assemble.
My dog chews their bed. Will this survive?
The sofa-style structure is more resistant to casual chewing than flat beds — the armrests give dogs less of a flat edge to grab onto. The plush cover is durable Terylene-grade fabric built for daily wear. No bed is indestructible against a determined chewer, but this one is significantly more resilient than standard flat options.
How do I wash it?
Remove the full plush cover — it unzips completely. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. No bleach, no fabric softener. Tumble dry low or air dry flat. The egg-crate foam base can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth. For S and M a standard home machine works fine. For L and XL a launderette machine is easier for a full wash.
What if my dog doesn't take to it?
Place it where your dog already likes to rest — not where you'd prefer they slept. Add a worn item of your clothing for the first few days. Give it a week before drawing conclusions. If it still isn't working, email support@kovepaws.com within 30 days and we'll make it right.
