Unclips, wraps fully around the headrest, clicks shut and tightens down. Because it wraps instead of slotting over the posts, it fits fixed and moulded headrests that other car beds won't.
Built-in safety leash

Dogs are den animals. An open back seat gives them nothing to orient against, so they reposition constantly. Bolster sides on all four edges give them a defined space with a solid edge to lean into on corners.

Soft fill over a firm base
PP cotton over durable polyester — soft enough to sink into, firm enough to absorb road vibration through the base rather than passing it straight up.
Up to 22.5kg
Medium takes dogs to 22.5kg or 65cm, or two small dogs together. Above that the bolsters won't contain them and the CalmRide is the right bed instead.

Questions about the Cozy Car Bed
How do I install it?
Unfold the bed onto the back seat. Unclip the strap, wrap it around the headrest, click it shut and pull it tight. Then clip the built-in leash to your dog's harness. Total time is under 60 seconds and no tools are needed.
Does the leash clip to the collar or the harness?
The harness, always. Never clip a dog to its collar in a moving vehicle — in a sudden stop the whole force is transferred through the neck. The integrated leash has a standard clip that fits any D-ring harness.
Does this meet Highway Code Rule 57?
Rule 57 states that dogs should be suitably restrained in a vehicle so they cannot distract the driver or be injured if the car stops suddenly, and it names a seat belt harness as one method. The Cozy Car Bed has a leash built in specifically so your dog's harness can be clipped inside it. A dog loose on the back seat is not restrained; a dog clipped into the bed is.
Can I use it at home as a normal bed?
Yes, and we recommend it. Let your dog sleep in it at home for a few days first. Dogs that already associate the bed with rest settle far faster once it goes into the car.
How do I clean it?
The cover zips off completely. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with no bleach and no fabric softener. Tumble dry on low or air dry flat. The base wipes down with a damp cloth.
What if my dog doesn't settle in it?
Car anxiety takes time to unlearn. Introduce the bed at home first so it smells familiar, then do three to five short, positive journeys before drawing conclusions. If it still isn't working, email support@kovepaws.com within 30 days for a full refund.
